Breaking Bad - S05E13 "To hajiilee"

¡Pues seguid leyendo!

I couldn't leave (don't worry, just for s few days) without writing about the amazing episode of Breaking Bad of last Sunday. We've already seen five episodes of the second half of the fifth season, which, for those of you who are unable to make basic maths, means that we have only three more episodes of Walter's lies, Jesse's "biatchs" and Walter Jr.'s breakfasts. Have you watched last episode? Keep reading!

The episode begins with Lydia supervising Todd's work, and obviously she doesn't seem that  much happy with it. It doesn't even have the blue color, which is quite important for selling Hesienberng's brand. How much more are they gonna survive without Walter?

That's when Todd's phone rings and we hear the conversation that ended last week's episode. For those of you who had any hope that it wasn't what it seemed, I'm afraid that Walt wants Jesse out of the picture. But without pain, of course. And you said Heisenberg was a jerk... But everything has a price, and there is nothing more profitable than have Heisenberg cooking for you and teaching Todd.

Walt doesn't know where is Jesse hiding, but he know his biggest weakness: Brock and his ex girlfriend. With the claim that he's worried about him, Walt makes her call Jesse. Unfortunately - for Walt, not for Jesse's lovers -, is Hank the one who hears the message.

The story turns over, and this time there is someone smarter than Walt. With the help of some beef's barios, they make Hull believe that Walt has killed Jesse and that he is his next target. He doesn't speak much, but he says that Walt hided his money in 7 barrils and that he buried it somewhere in the dessert. Enough information for Hank. By the way, I loved the performance of Hull, who hasn't appeared almost in all the show.

If Jesse's weakness is his ex girlfriend and Brock, Walt's one is the money. And that's what Jesse uses. They send Walt a photo of a barril with money and then Walt receives a phone call. It's Jesse, he has his money and he is about to burn it if Walt doesn't arrive inmediately. Incredible Walt's reaction. He tries to convince Jesse not to burn it, saying that he's dying and that he's only damaging his children, not him. He also says that he killed all those people to help Jesse, which is a huge mistake cause the conversation might be recorded.

In a record time, Walt arrives where he had the money hidden, just to realize that he had been set up and he had drive them to his money. Knowing it's too late, he hides and calles Todd and his uncle Jack and tells them to go save him. He hasn't hung up yet when he sees that Jesse has come with Hank. He knows he can't kill him, so he calls the rescue off. But it is too late.

Hank arrives and it doesn't take long to Walt to surrender. With a happy smile in his face, Hank handcuffs Walt and tell him his rights. With Walt in one car and Jesse in the other, Hank feels free to call his wife and tell her he has Walt and that he loves her. And that's when you realize it. It's a goodbye. You haven't have time to think it through when another car arrives. It's Todd, Jack and their army.

The last scene is great. Walt, handcuffed in the car yelling "Jaaaaack, nooo!!!", while Jack shoots Hank and Gomez. Unfortunately, AMC hates us, and Vince Gilligan has ended the episode there. We won't know what happens in one week, but we can start figuring it out.

In my opinion, I doubt that Hank survives much more than the intro of next week's episode. I believe they won't kill Jesse, and I hope it'll be Walt the one who rescues him. Marie, seeing that Hank hasn't showed up, will go to the police or to Skyler. Either way, Walt will have to run. Obviously this is only my opinion, since Gilligan doesn't call me to tell me what's gonna happen.

And what can I say about the show that hasn't been said a hundred of times. Each episode is better and more surprising that the one before. I cannot wait to watch new episode, but I can't help think... Oh God, this is almost over!
