The biggest TV series event has just finished, the one that every single freak would love to assist at least once in his life. Yes, I'm talking about the fucking Comic Con. What did it bring this year? The best, without doubt, Dexter, TWD, GoT, HIMYM, Breaking Bad and Community.
Empezamos el jueves 18. Lo más destacable de este día es, sin lugar a dudas, el panel de Dexter, que se despedía definitivamente tras haber iniciado ya su octava temporada. Al panel acudieron los ya conocidos - Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Jennifer Carpenter (Deb), David Zayas (Batista) y James Remar (el padre) - junto a otros más inesperados, como Jaime Murray (la insoportable novia británica de Dex), Julie Benz (Rita), Lauren Vélez (LaGuerta) y Erik King (Doakes).
We start Thursday the 18. The best of the day, obviously, was Dexter's panel, where they focused in say goodbye more than in talking about the end of the series. The panel was formed by those who where known before Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Jennifer Carpenter (Deb), David Zayas (Batista) and James Remar (the father) -, but also my others who were completely unexpected, as Jaime Murray (Dex's horrible british ex-girlfriend), Julie Benz (Rita), Lauren Vélez (LaGuerta) and Erik King (Doakes).
El viernes 19 nos encontramos con The Walking Dead, que se coronó con el trailer de la cuarta temporada de 4 minutos y medio. Ese mismo día, descubrimos que Cobie Smulders (Robin de HIMYM) participará en Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, que le da aún más interés a la serie.
The Friday 19th we start with The Walking Dead, which aired the promo of the forth season of 4:30 minutes. The same day, we discovered that Cobie Smulders (Robin from HIMYM) will be part of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, which makes the series even more expected.
Como culmen del día, llegó Game of Thrones, sin duda una de las mejores series del momento. Como momento destacable, apareció por sorpresa Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo), que entró gritando "I'm not dead yet!", le dio un beso a Emilia Clarke por la nominación al Emmy y ella le respondió con un "My sun and stars!". Muy bonito todo. Además hubo alguna escena eliminada, como una en la que Tywin felicitaba a Tyrion por haber echado del concilio a Pycelle, algo poco habitual para esta relación. And finally, Game of Thrones, which is without doubt one of the best series at the moment. One of the best moments was when Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) appeared in the stage to yell "I'm not dead yet" and kiss Emilia Clarke for her nomination in the Emmys, who answered shouting "My son and stars!". Quite nice. Also, there were some eliminated scenes, like one in which Tywin congrats his son for getting rid of Pycelle, which isn't that common in their relationship. They also made a In Memoriam video for the - many - dead of the series. Below it's also the full video of the panel (Jason Momoa at min 14:40).
Además, George R. R. Martin dijo que estaba pensando en escribir una precuela de Song of Ice and Fire, pero que primero tenía que terminar los dos libros de la saga, The Winds of Winter y A Dream of Spring, por lo que no os emocioneis porque aun queda mucho. De todas formas, ha escrito ya tres precuelas - bastante cortas para lo que suele ser él -, que son The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, The Mystery Knight, que cuentan la historia de Aegon the Unlikely, el abuelo del Rey Loco. La última, que aún no ha sido publicada, se llamará The Princess and the Queen, y tratará acerca de la primera guerra civil de los Targaryen (la llamada Dance of Dragons). Por cierto, si os gusta la historia de Game of Thrones, os vuelvo a aconsejar que veáis a esta chica, ComicBookGirl19, que lo explica genial y se te hacen cortísimos los vídeos.
Also, George R. R. Martin said that he wanted to write a prequel of Song of Ice and Fire, but first he gotta finish The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring, so don't get to excited. In the meantime, you can read the prequels he has already written, The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword and The Mystery Knight, which tell the story of Aegon the Unlikely, the grandfather of the Mad King. The last novel hasn't been published yet, but it will be called The Princess and the Queen and it will be about the first Targaryen civil war (the called Dance of Dragons). El sábado 20 destacó el video de How I Met Your Mother, en el que los hijos de Ted se quejaban de lo pesado que estaba siendo el padre - algo que pensamos todos -. Nos recordaron que la última temporada se basará en el largo fin de semana de la boda de Robin y Barney, pero que incluiría flashbacks y flashfowards, e incluso habría un episodio dedicada a una de las tortas que faltan.
The Saturday 20th the best was the video of How I Met Your Mother, where even his kids say that they are bored of Ted. The remind us that the last season will be placed in the long weekend of Barney and Robin's wedding, but it will also include some flashbacks, flashforwards and even one episode dedicated to the last slap.
El domingo 21 comienza con la todopoderosa Breaking Bad. Emitieron la pasada de video que os pongo a continuación, una especie de resumen de lo que ha pasado en la serie y cómo ha llegado el personaje a ser quien es. Se pasaron el panel bromeando, ya que Bryan Cranston apareció directamente con una careta de Heisenberg, la cual se quitó luego, dejando ver que se había dejado crecer el pelo y sorprendiendo al público. Tanto él como Aaron Paul bromearon con la careta todo el rato, Bryan Cranston incluso se lió con ella, muy raro por cierto. Como curiosidad, dijo que se había estado paseando por la convención con la máscara simulando ser un fan más de la serie, e incluso habló con varios fans. The Sunday 21st starts with the almighty Breaking Bad. They aired this awesome video below, where we can see a resume of Walter White's change since the beginning and how he has become Heisenberg. They joked during all panel, since Bryan Cranston arrived with a mask of Heisenberg, and when he pulled it off he surprised the public showing he had let his hair grow again. He and Aaron Paul joked with it all the time, they even made out with it, quite strange. As a curiosity, Bryan Cranston said that he had been walking all weekend through the Comic Con with the mask pretending to be just another Breaking Bad fan and talking with people. En cuanto a Community, Dan Harmon apareció al evento vestido de Iron Man, muy mítico. Reconoció que al no haber estado presente en la cuarta temporada, los planes que tenía para la serie han cambiado un poco, pero que sigue con su - difícil - objetivo de las Six Seasons and a Movie. A continuación el video, merece la pena ver aunque sean los primeros 5 minutos.
And finally, Community. Dan Harmon arrived dressed up as Iron Man. He said that since he hadn't been in the fourth season his plans had changed, but we still wanted to make the - very difficult - objective of Six Seasons and a Movie.
