Game of Thrones - S03E02 Dark Wings, Dark Words

Para aquellos que estabais preocupados por la ausencia de Arya, Bran, Rickon y Jaime, espero que os haya saciado el ratito que han estado en pantalla estos personajes en el segundo capítulo. ¿Lo habéis visto ya? ¡Pues seguid leyendo! 

For those of you who were worried about Arya's, Bran's, Rickon's and Jaime's absence, I hope you are happy with the time they spent in the screen in this second episode. Have you watched it? So keep reading!

La historia comienza directamente con Bran, en uno de sus Green Dreams. ¿Quién no se ha dado cuenta de que era la repetición del diálogo del piloto desde la primera frase? Qué pena recordar esos tiempos y cómo estaban los Starks por entonces. Pero bueno, no os preocupéis, que ahora Bran es un "warg", con poderes para meterse en la piel de animales y ver el pasado, presente o futuro. O eso es lo que ha contado Jojen Reed, al que por fin hemos conocido junto a su hermana Meera. La historia de los Green Dream promete, a ver cuándo consigue dominar por completo Bran su poder. 

The story begins with Bran directly, in one of his Green Dreams. Who didn't notice that the dialogue was the same as in the pilot from the first sentence? What a shame what the Starks have became since then. Well, don't you worry, 'cause now Bran is a warg, with the power of see through any animal's eye or to see the past, present and future. Or that's what Jojen Reed said, who we have finally met with his sister Meera. The story with Bran and his Green Dreams seems quite cool, let's see when Bran manage to control it completely! 

En seguida pasamos a la historia de Robb y Catelyn, cuyo abuelo y padre respectivamente, Hoster Tully, ha muerto. Ponen marcha hacia Riverrun, pero no sin recibir alguna queja en la que ya nos empiezan a dejar entrever qué está pasando con Robb: "I think you lost this war the day you married her". Mal empieza la luna de miel. Y en cuanto a la revelación de Catelyn, poco me pega de esta mujer.  El momento de debilidad por las malas noticias de Winterfell y Riverrun la estarán haciendo delirar.

The next we see is Robb and Catelyn, whose grandfather and father respectively has died: Hoster Tully. They start their way to Riverrun, not without receiving some complaints which let us see what's going on with Robb: "I think you lost this war the day you married her". The honey moon has started badly. And Catelyn.. well, I do not quite buy what she said about Jon Snow, so I attach it to her moment of weakness after the news of Winterfell and Riverrun. 

Lo siguiente que nos encontramos es a Theon Greyjoy, que está siendo torturado - de una manera bastante horrible - acerca de por qué asaltó Winterfell. Y como suele pasar en estas cosas, ya tiene un infiltrado que jura ir a rescatarlo esa noche. ¿Dónde carajo está Theon? ¿Quién lo tortura y quién lo quiere rescatar? Maldita sea, habrá que esperar. 

And the next one we find is Theon Greyjoy, who is being tortured - in a horrible way - about why did he assault Winterfell. And obviously, there's someone that promises him that he's gonna free him that same night. And where the hell is Theon? Who are torturing him and who's the one that wanna free him? Damn it, guess we're gonna have to wait till next episode. 

Y por fin tenemos a la adorable pareja: Brienne y Jaime Lannister. Los comentarios agudos de Jaime no parecen molestar a la "chica", y hasta comienzan a tener algo de complicidad, pero que le robe la espada e intente asesinarla no creo que le haya sentado bien. Y por culpa de esto - y de no querer cargarse a un "inocente" anciano -, los Bolton los atrapan sin ningún tipo de interés de devolverlo a King's Landing. 

And finally we have the lovely copple: Brienne and Jaime Lannister. The sharp comments of Jaime doesn't seem to bother the "woman", and they even have a little bit of complicity, but him stoling her sword and trying to kill her doesn't seem like a step forward in their relationship. And because of this - and not wanting to kill an innocent old man -, they are captured by the Boltons, who doesn't have any interest in returning him to King's Landing. 

Volvemos de nuevo a King's Landing, en donde podemos ver los primeros resquicios de desconfianza típicos de la gran ciudad. Cersei no se fia ni un pelo de Margaery, y esta y su abuela, Lady Olenna Tyrell, the Queen of Thorns, de Joffrey. Y con razón. Sansa acaba describiéndolo como un monstruo, no sin antes haber soltado sus típicas frases de "little dove". Interesante cuanto menos esta mujer, que dará mucho juego. Margaery me encanta, especialmente cómo manipula a Joffrey de esa forma tan sencilla. En cuanto a Tyrion, que casi no sale en el capítulo, parece más preocupado por Shae que por si Sansa está siendo o no engañada por Littlefinger. 

Back in King's Landing, we can see the first signs of mistrust typical from this big city. Cersei doesn't trust even a bit Margaery, and she and her grandmother, Lady Olenna Tyrell, the Queen of Thorns, don't trust Joffrey. And I cannot blame them. They even make Sansa confess that he's a monster, obviously not after having said all her typical quotes of "little dove". This woman is just great, and so is Margaery, who I love, specially for how she manipulates Joffrey. And Tyrion, who is in the screen for just two minutes, isn't that worried about Sansa being deceived by Littlefinger than of Shae's life. 

Y al norte, los Free Folk siguen avanzando hacia el sur para salvar sus culos casi literalmente. Buena frase para resolver los pequeños conflictos esa de "We are all going to die if we don't get south". Conocemos igualmente a un warg hecho y derecho, Orell, que nos revela que en el Fist of the First Men ha habido una masacre, y está lleno de miembros de la Night's Watch. Pobre Jon. Pero su amigo Sam sigue vivo aunque no coleando, volviendo como puede al Muro. 

And in the north, the Free Folk are walking south. Good sentence to resolve conflict that one of "We are all going to die if we don't get south". We also meet a grown warg, Orell, who reveals that he has seen at the Fist of the First Men a bunch of crows dead. Poor Jon. But don't you worry, 'cause your friend Sam is still alive, at least for now, running south scaping from the white walkers. 

Y por fin, la historia de Arya. Ha conocido ya al genial Thoros of Myr y al resto de la Brotherhood Without Banners. Los invitan a cenar relativamente gentilmente teniendo en cuenta que estamos en Game of Thrones, y todo parecía ir genial hasta que traen como prisionero a Sandor Clegane, que obviamente la reconoce al instante. "What in the seven hells are you doing with the Stark's bitch?". Buena, Arya. 

And finally, Arya's part. She has just meet the great Thoros of Myr and the rest of the Brotherhood Without Banners. They are gentily invited to have dinner, and it all seemed great till they brought a prisoner: Sandor Clegane, who obviously recognized the girl in one second. "What in the seven hells are you doing with the Stark's bitch?". Well done, Arya. 

Y como siempre, para los que os hayáis leído los libros, aquí os comento un poco en qué se ha diferenciado. Hemos conocido a los hermanos Reed, que más de uno estaba preocupado cómo iban a aparecer, ya que no salieron en la segunda temporada. Bastante bien resuelto, y esperemos que el dinero que se ahorraron en ellos la temporada pasada se use para crear más white walkers. Igualmente, la parte de Catelyn hablando acerca de Jon Snow no me ha gustado nada, ya que jamás lo quiso y jamás pasaría una noche entera a su lado rezando. 

And as always, for those of you who have read the books, here a little bit of the differences. We have finally met the Reed siblings. I was quite worried of how they were going to appear, since they weren't in the second season, but I liked it. Hope the money they saved last season is used to create more cool white walkers! And what I said above about Catelyn, I don't buy at all what she said about Jon Snow, she never loved him and she would never have spent a whole night by his side praying for his life. 

Y bueno, hablemos de la parte que a todos os interesa: Theon Greyjoy. Whaaaat???!! No aparece desde luego en el tercer libro, que es hasta donde me he leído yo, así que supongo que los de HBO no querían que nos olvidásemos de su personaje y sacarlo del reparto durante mínimo una temporada, por lo que habrán adelantado su historia.

And let's go to the part you are interested in: Theon Greyjoy. Whaaaat???!!! He isn't certainly in the third book, which is the last one I've read. I guess HBO didn't want us to forget about the character and make him disappear this year from the cast, so they have anticipated his story. 

Bastante bien el capítulo, aunque no me ha convencido demasiado la escena de Tyrion, que con lo genial que es el personaje no le está pasando aún nada. Quitando eso, bastante bien el resto, se nota ya que estamos entrando en la trama principal. Y a continuación el trailer del siguiente episodio, Walk of Punishment. 

I enjoyed the episode, even though I didn't like Tyrion's scene and how little he was on the screen! Apart from that, I really liked it, we can see that we are entering in the main plot! And here's the promo of next episode, Walk of Punishment. 




Y ahora sí que sí, hemos llegado a la última y final ronda de los Whatever Awards. Drama contra comedia, ¡votad!
